Edo APC Guber Primary: Tinubu and SGF, Boss Mustapha pressuring Oshiomhole to adopt Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu as Consensus Candidate of Edo APC



The National Leader of The All Progressive Congress (APC) , Senator Ahmed Tinubu and the Secretary to the Federal Government (SGF), Mr. Mustapha Boss, has been pressuring Comrade Adams Oshimhole, to dump the other aspiring consensus candidate of the Edo APC Guber Primary Election and even exclude majority of the party's members, who are out for the fair conduct of the primaries and adopt Pastor Ize Iyamu, as the only Consensus Governorship Candidate of the Edo state Chapter of APC not minding that other candidates have stayed longer in the party than Pastor Iyamu.

It is quite shocking that the National Leader, Senator Tinubu who has been seen as a trustworthy leader will be a part of this gang up to give APC ticket to Ize Iyamu who just joined APC few months ago and deny other loyal party members of the party this opportunity.

Senator Tinubu has been hailed as a political mentor, and an apostle of good democratic principles, so what manner of lesson does he want the people to learn from this very move.

Mr. Mustapha Boss and pastor Ize Iyamu has been in a very long standing friendship and he wants to use his office to make him APC consensus candidate and to win the governorship election in the state.

The truth is that the Comrade Oshiomhole, whom we know so well and in his heart, wanted Engr. Chris Ogiewonyi or Dr. Pius Odubu, but he is almost bowing to external pressures by our respected National Leader and the SGF to unduly rig it for Ize Iyamu, who is the least qualified of the aspirants for Oshiomhole and most of Edo APC members to consider.

The Ward Chairman and Local Chairman of APC where Ize Iyamu come from have openly come out to say that they have not issued him membership card and this alone can be a technical ground for legal encumbrance against his candidacy and this may lead to his disqualification

Remember that pastor Ize Iyamu has a pending EFCC case and many garbages that will not only destroy the reputation of the APC but that can deny the party an opportunity to present a candidate for the election if he is convicted before swearing in.

Also remember that Oshiomhole has once destroyed the character and reputation of Ize Iyamu on National TV by calling him thieves, cultists, fake pastor etc

This happens to be almost the same thing SGF played on his state Adamawa that led to the defeat of APC in the state. And now they want to make another mistake that might lead to another electoral tragedy for the party.

It is still unimaginable that a man who fought tirelessly for Atiku to win in the last year election will now be considered a right candidate for APC in Edo state today. What if Atiku had won? Would he have come to APC to fight for tickets?

This is political absurdity indeed. It does not make sense and will never be acceptable.
